AIM in Mumbai
The spirit of volunteerism is no more palpable than in Mumbai, where Ares team members exemplify an unwavering commitment to philanthropy. Employees come together to aid local charities like NavGurukul, a nonprofit that brings affordable technology education to underprivileged girls in India. This video showcases a memorable AIM event for which 50 team members volunteered to pack care kits for NavGurukul participants.
AIM in Hong Kong
In 2020, Ares acquired SSG (i.e., Ares Asia Credit), a firm with a longstanding commitment to employee-led volunteerism through its Hong Kong Charity Committee. The grassroots group – comprised of these employees from across various business functions – channeled its passion to make a difference in the community through their outreach activities. What started as a loose-knit yet no less impactful effort to give back is now part of AIM. This video showcases the legacy of volunteerism in Hong Kong.
Community Conversations
AIM helps connect Ares employees to nonprofit leaders for create unique learning opportunities, including through our Community Conversations virtual fireside chat series that we launched in 2022. The series helps team members learn about leaders’ organizations as well as the purpose and significance of their work. Furthermore, these listening and learning experiences allow team members an opportunity to gain valuable insights that they can apply professionally and personally.
In 2023, we welcomed Dolores Huerta, Founder of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, and Harry Johnson, President & CEO of The Memorial Foundation, for a chat on “Volunteers as Changemakers” in addition to a conversation centered around humanitarian relief for the Israel – Hamas War.
